I am so pleased to be working with Myles of Great Hopes. This year is my third year as a Reading Interventionist at River Bend Middle School. I met Myles and Isaac my first year there at an open house. We got to talking about Science Club and Myles of Great Hopes. Myles joined our school’s science club, and I joined Myles of Great Hopes. Visiting Kenya has always been a life-long goal on my bucket list.
Other information about me: I went to college at North Carolina State University and Meredith College. I have worked in education both in Wake and Johnston County Public Schools for 20 years, as well as working with schools across the state as an educator with the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. I have been married to my husband, David, for over 24 years, and we have a daughter, Natalie, who just started graduate school at George Mason University in Washington, DC. I also have a miniature dachshund, named Cody.
