Proud of My Culture’s 2016 is here. We are absolutely excited to register our 3rd Annual Proud of My Culture’s   Heritage Show celebration with you at the excellent grounds and auditorium – Needham B. Broughton High School – 723 St Marys St, Raleigh, NC 27605.

Who: Myles of Great Hopes in Partnership with Broughton High School, Raleigh Sister Cities, Sacred Heart Cathedral among others…….

What: Many nations presents their Culture, Heritage, Traditions, in Art, Dances, Spoken Words, Poems, Skits, Fashion Show, playing instruments etc etc

Time: 4PM to 8PM

Who’s Invited: Everyone

Cover Charge: Students – 5 dollars,  Adults – 10 dollars, Children under 8 years – Free

On the menu is some delicious Kenyan Cuisine hand crafted by some of our amazing Kenyan women so please find your way to Broughton this Saturday Oct 1st. The catch is, you gotta be on time, 4pm. A healthy, colorful plate for only 5 dollars. Thanks to Beth, Christine, Sally, Wariara, Kaari, Wanjiru, Virginia, Wangare, Felicia, Miriam, Dorcas, Josephine etc etc (all respect observed)

In catching up on the lobby area, Collin, Liz, Kathy, Chantel, and Christine have all the layout figured out. All the hard work and preparations done and executed by our humbling project leader Beth with BHS, we appreciate.

And while walking around some things will catch your attention such as meeting new friends, bidding for some of the items below while waiting for the show to start. You could win Restaurants Dinner gift certificates, Hand and Stone Massage & Facial Spa, Day care gift certificate, gift baskets, fruit baskets, dog gift baskets, lowball hand painted, BallRoomU Salsa dancing lessons, Ten Thousand Villages gift basket, authentic African artifacts and and and and…….. just get there….

The show: Payne Auditorium….. Barry has this on fire on the 1’s and 2’s, thank you sir for the love.  Thanks to our host MC Ms. Meggie from Washington DC, and countries comes rolling to the beats of their culture’s. Thanks to all our performers on stage; Nyakinyua women, Avanti, Anvita, Annie, Jenny,  Priya and Indigo Dance I.D.E.A, David, Jasmine, Sadie, Chinese Red Coral Ode – Sandie  and the team,  Michele,  Bennie, Samantha and all our participating Fashion Show candidates.
