  • Name:

Josephine Kiage Mokaya – Medical Director

When I was growing up, I wanted to be a teacher, how I was going to get there, I had no idea. But I did realize my dream by God's grace. After high school, I joined one of the public schools in kenya Moi university 1990- 1994, taught high school for seven years in one of the remote areas in kenya at that particular time. This is where I saw most students dreams being shattered because they either lacked tuition, got married of, etc. We lost even the most brilliant students who if there had been a chance, the sky would not have been the limit. In SUNY Albany 2005-2007 received a masters of science in educational psychology, as a mother of two, my children needed me more than school did, in 2007- 2010 I graduate from Maria college with an associate degree in nursing. I now work at Albany medical center in the spine and orthopedic unit. My passion has never stopped from me going back to thinking about those less fortunate kids who need tuition or some motivation or information to dream their dreams. MoGH has been a dream comes true. Josephine is the MoGH Medical Director and currently works for at the Albany Medical Center in New York as a Registered Nurse.
